Ja das mit den fehlenden Gesangseindrücken macht mir auch zu schaffen, aber ich glaube, dass soll wohl die Spannung steigern und ist kein Zeichen dafür, dass er es nich drauf hat oder so 
Und nen paar neue Infos sind auch drin. Z.B. sollte deine Befürchtung, dass Heliocentric nur orchestral und Anthropocentric das genaue Gegenteil sein wird, nach den Aussagen von Jonathan Nido ein bisschen geschmälert worden sein.
Außerdem sagt Robin, um nochmal zu dem neuen Sänger zurückzukommen, dass es Songs gibt, wo er wohl ganz gewagte Sachen macht   |

Ich bin ja mal gespannt. Hab irgendwie ein ungutes Gefühl im Moment, aber das kann die Musik ja ganz schnell ändern (hoffentlich!)...

Ich bin auch schon gespannt aufs neue Album.
Bisher hab ich die Fogdiver und die Precambrian. Die Aeolian hab ich mir gerade eben bestellt. Viele finden die ja wohl nicht so besonders, aber vom kurzen reinhören her, fand ich die schon recht vielversprechend. |

Aeolian hat Eier ohne Ende... ist halt die härteste CD von The Ocean und viele mögen die deshalb nicht... Ich find sie toll!

Ich mag Aeolian auch.
Und mit Austerity ist vielleicht sowas wie mein Lieblingssong der Band enthalten.
Ein Monolith von einem Song, der ragt deutlich raus wie ich finde.

Ich konnt mich mit Aeolian nie anfreunden. Und das liegt sicher nicht an der Härte des Albums - die, die mich kennen wissen, dass ich kein Kind von Traurigkeit bin was harte Musik angeht.
Mir ist Aeolian einfach zu plump. Das Album hat für mich nix, wo ich jetzt sagen würde "ja das ist was Besonderes, das sind eben The Ocean und das hört man". Klingt für mich wie irgendeine beliebige Band die eben brachial drauf haut ohne jetzt dabei irgendwas besonderes einzubauen oder sich hervorzuheben. Naja und die Lyrics passen zum Album würd ich mal sagen....
Da gefallen mit Precambrian (sowohl Proterozoic als auch Hadaean), Fluxion und Fogdiver doch wesentlich besser.

Also ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, dass ich Songs wie The City And The Sea oder Queen Of The Food-Chain live in ihrem Repertoir nicht missen möchte... und das eine Mal, wo sie Austerity gespielt haben war der Song übergroß...
